About Cowichan and Duncan
The Cowichan Valley is located midway between Victoria and
Nanaimo on Vancouver Island . The Island is situated in British
Columbia on Canada’s beautifully rugged West Coast.
The name “Cowichan”
means “warm land”, or “land warmed by the
sun”
in the local First Nations language.
